Gullets....all fit the same?

Hi All

Do wintec gullets fit Thorowgood saddles and vice versa? I am so sure someone told me once that they do?!!

Nope, I don't think so. And I do know that a none-wintec plate in my Bates saddle (we bought the saddle secondhand) over time stretched, and broke the tree Generally, I think its best to stick to the own brand?

Thats ok so ong as I know only someone told me they are all the same fit really. But will go with the brand then it looks like thank you

No.....Wintec & Bates gullets are the same but Thorogood are a different company & they are incompatable with Wintec & Bates.

Just phoned up local horse shop they said they will all fit each other! confused

No, find a better tack shop;-)

The wintec gullets fit into all wintecs, Bates, calidonian and (i think) colligate saddles.

Thorowgood fit only thorowgood saddles, and there's two styles:round cantle saddles and square cantle saddles, the gullets of which (S type and R type) are not interchangable.
