Gun dog breeders! Where to buy coloured puppy collars??

As title pls:) When looking at your beautiful puppy pics,you often have each puppy (for identification/differentiation purposes) in different coloured collars. I'm looking for a bright coloured plain collar(orange or yellow or electric/bright blue) but can only find hideous patterned or blingy puppy collars. Where do you get yours from,as they always look great colours?
And presume pups should be in collars with plastic clips for quick release? I always presumed leather was safest(as it breaks) but bright pup collars seem to always be webbing? (He won't be left unattended in it tho).
It's for a GSP.

please don't tell me you a breeding a GSP litter..... I keep accidently browsing the internet for litters telling myself Harley wants a little sister!!! ;)
 
Vizslak did use the paper collars, and her pups destroyed them pretty quickly.:p I think she then got some better quality ones, hopefully she will see this and let you have more details.
 
Im here! Yes the paper collars arent much cop I'm afraid, I will go back to wool or ribbon for early days now. From a week old to when they left at nearly 9 weeks, these fitted and have been washed and put away for the next litter, they are fab and also totally safe, they release if get caught on anything or pulled hard http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/230678058...eName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649

ets, I didnt read your initial post properly, are you talking about identifying a litter or for just one pup? These wont fit older pups, they also have no ring to place name tags on etc. Any small breed dog collar is fine for a young pup, adjustable so you arent replacing every two minutes. I always leave collars on all dogs even the adults so they are loose enough to slip straight over their heads, they are only there to hold the tags they require by law in my book!

No,I'm not breeding a litter,we're getting a puppy.:) So you are safe,for now,Harley! We pick him up in 9 days. Both parents fully health tested(with v.good scores) and he is a great nephew to our lovely 10yr old GSP boy,who we sadly lost to cancer earlier this year:( We have researched our breeders & waited to find a poopy related to our boy,who had a fantastic temperament & was a fab dog. Hopefully,little chunky newbie will bring us lots of joy and help to fill the George-shaped void we have:(.
Ah,I didn't realise they were made of paper-couldn't tell at all from the photos! I'll just get him a little collar,especially if those are only
any good til 9 wks-ish anyway.
Thank you for all your replies:). I will try to work out how to post pics when we get him home. We are calling the puppy Porge,as a tribute to our Gorgeous Georgey Porge(as we used to call him).

Thank you Vizslak,that blue is a perfect electric blue-will look fab on a little liver boy and useful size advice too.:) And thank you Quirky-I have saved that site to my phone-i think I'll get him one of those lovely leather ones once his growth has slowed down:) Ooh,am so excited - this will feel like the longest 8 days ever! My two daughters are beside themselves (but I'm getting a whole lot of mileage out of Porge already...put it this way,ever since we put a deposit on him,they've been brushing their teeth& going to bed brilliantly... ;)

Ha ha! I will try!:) (And I must,due to the pleasure I have got from all the lovely puppy (& any age really!) pics that others have posted on here. OH was quite happy to get another dog but with one stipulation-it had to be a GSP! (Fortunately,that wasn't too hard to comply with;))
 
HPRs are the best :) But I cant see me being swayed by anything but a GSP :) :)

When do you collect the pup? Just so I can pester for piccies :) :) :)

pahahaha, I have teeny baby vizzie pics.....would they help....remember the little teeny paw pictures?! LMAO Oh I am cruel! :D FWIW whilst still cute I had one back for holidays 2 weeks ago, shes FULL ON, and took great pleasure in emptying all toys from toy box all over the entire house one by one and her and her mother wouldnt stop playing and crashing into everything/everyone. I was quite pleased to give her a kiss and cuddle and wave her off home ;) :D

Thankfully they all have new homes so you can't tempt me! Although having a GSP AND and Visla seems to be very common round here?

Yea, growing up now eh, lovely to get the updates from their new families and pictures of them maturing and having fun, I see 2 of them fairly regularly too which is great, infact little miss ferny (miss purple) will be making her showing debut with yours truely soon....should be fun, I havnt managed a training session where her feet have stayed on the floor yet! She LOVES me picking her up and going to ringcraft!! :eek:

ets thats no excuse, they had homes before they were born....but I will take names for the next litter.... ROFL :D
 
hahaha spud :D that made me giggle, have you been tormented? Its not a common breed trait, escapology, although I know a few that do and are extremely good at it! :eek: It seems to be a trait from a few specific breed lines. Most vizzies are the type that would sit on the drive with the gate wide open and never walk out, they are such clingy dogs as a rule they dont want to stray far from home/their people.
 
Mr Large Teenage Vizsla took a hitherto unnoticed shine to Miss Pretty Cocker in the class in the next ring, and seized his opportunity at recall time to charge around his owner, leap the fence and say hello...:eek::D
