Gus update

Thank you everyone for all the well wishes. I Was out several times through the night checking on him & pleased to say he's making an incredibly quick recovery. Leg ok, vet decided not to staple as we can't be sure there is no debris left in it. He trotted up 3/10 lame. Vet was really surprised at how sound he was, given that he was hanging by his leg for God knows how long.

Eye not such good news, severely ulcerated unfortunately. He has 2 kinds of ointment at the moment and we will know more on Monday, depending on how it reacts to those.

He must be feeling far better as he had a good old boot at the door when DA got haylage before him!

Will keep you all updated, I'm off for a bath as I hurt more than after bodypump!

Was just wondering how your poor horse had faired overnight but that sounds like fab news!

It's amazing how tough horses can be really.

Popped over to see him bout half 2 - eye still was very green from the drops so took it from that it was maybe not good news. Glad he was looking brighter.

Awww bless him, give him some good vibes from me

Pony I ride has an ulcerated eye and he stills acts like a 4 yr old at times, just always moves his head around so he can see you properly
