Looking for recommendations for a good gut balancer/supplement.

My mare has a very "nervous" digestive system according to my vet... often has diarrhoea and many foods don't agree with her. I feel like she would really benefit from a supplement to just calm her digestion down a bit and allow her to get the full benefit of her feed and other supplements.

What has everyone used that they thought benefitted their horses and made them see a noticeable difference?

TIA

Protexin Gut Balancer. Used it on our stressed mare, whose rug i needed to wash the tail flap every day. The difference really was amazing.

My cob is very reactive to changes in grass or haylage, I tried Protexin with no improvement but have had success with Baileys Digest Plus. Speaking to their rep it's a basic prebiotic but it works for him.

Another vote for Protexin gut balancer. My mare gets this all year round and does fab on it. I have also previously used Baileys Digest Plus which was also very good.

Protexin is awesome stuff - their Quickfix is my go-to if either of them come in from the field with cow pats or if my ulcery one gets a bit tetchy around her stomach. I also use Equishure for that one, which seems to settle her down nicely.

Feed very simple. Restricted grass and plenty/adlib meadow hay.
Agrob or thunderbrooks feed with copra or whole soaked oats if needs more calories.
I use agrob ulcer mash plus copra and
Forage plus mineral vits.

I know a few horses benefit from speedi beet too.

Restricting grass and finding meadow hay was the main thing for mine tho

protexin gut balancer, it really works and no need to change management by restricting grazing. my loan mare only get alfa a and formula4feet once a day and newmarket joint supplement at this time of year as the grass provides plenty to keep her weight on...she is 20
