Was supposed to be a comp report so best thought I'd get with the alliteration :P

I am currently supposed to be rolling up plaits for my first ode at Aston, alas my lift and back up lift are both unable to take me, so having a day of moping and self pity

Totally pointless post but I'm so gutted and thought only you guys would appreciate how much so. I've worked so hard on a stroppy quirky mare, that was going to be shot this time last year, with the help of friends and an amazing trainer. This was supposed to show everyone.

God and now Im crying again

Don't cry. You will get your chance. Go spend some time with your quirky little mare, take a deep breath and start planning again. Big hug. But your chance will come so try not to fret.

Thanks guys, knew you would empathise rather than mum going " Oh poor you all that hard work" I know she means well but didnt help.

Alas I need to take a test to do them and cant quite afford it. My regular lift is very reliable however we noticed a crack in the ramp of the box and didnt want to use it been replaced this week, friend offered to take me but has come down with what the doc thinks could be swine flu, so mayb I wasn't meant to go.

Am looking into sorting out my own however finances do dictate that which is why I have arranged some perm o/t at work and have secondary job lined up.

Oh thats rubbish!!! I know how you feel!!
Just think of it as giving everyone else a chance this time - cos next time when you go out, you'll mean business!!

Aww, how disappointing.
Chin up.......EVERYTHING happens for a reason though you may never know the reason!
Hope you get to go out to play soon and well done with your mare to have got this far.

At the risk of sounding like a Mum, and to quote my OH Dark_Knight, everything happens for a reason (this NEVER helps me

), from someone who knows how you feel I will pass the tissues and lend a shoulder

As others have said go and spend some time with your mare, and plan the next outing, it will happen

I agree with this. I'm a firm believer in fate and that rubbish stuff can often have a silver lining that you just don't know about at the time. How upsetting though. Hope you get another opportunity soon.

As I can't afford my own transport and rely on lifts I fully sympathise! But at least you found out before you did all your plaiting!
Have a piece of cherry pie, its not quite as good an ODE but hopefully it will cheer you up a bit!

Hugs and I hope transport to your next event goes smoothly!

I'm also in the same boat with no transport and I know how infuritating it can be when someone who promises you a lift cannot take you (through no fault of their own).

Echoeing what others have said, I'm a great believer in fate and I try and cheer myself up by thinking what could have happened , but didnt because we didnt go (i.e. me/horse being injured). Sad, I know, but it helps me

Good luck at your next event x
