gutted- self pitying whiney post

as some people here may know i have been looking for a loan horse for over a year now [btw - this post is NOT critical of anyone on this board who i have explored potential loan horses with ] -Ruby is 21 & needs to do less, i am in a position to financially provide well for the running costs of 2 horses but cannot buy another horse.
i have few friends, have been single for 10 yrs, have no close family, & i know it sounds sad but my horse & riding are realy important parts of my life
i have now explored about 7 possible loan horses & for a variety of reasons none can progress forward.
I have advertised in all the usual places & really dont know what too do next.
I was meant to be riding one today, but received a text this morning saying that owner has found someone else [ obs the owner must do what they believe is best for their horse]
if anyone has any ideas, please, please share them.

16 plus - needs to be able to locate to leicestershire
doesnt need to jump or hack alone but needs to be good in traffic [ due to location of yard] - ideally would like to do prelim dressage
already have my own veteran so dont really want another oldie

am i asking for too much?

I know you dont want to buy but if its literally just because of costs then see whats at the sales, you might find a peach.

You might find that things "pick up" in that area when we get closer to Autumn/Winter.

Have you thought of getting something from Ireland?

i am too scared to buy at sales - dont think i know enough & last week at melton anything halfway decent was going for over a grand - i cant afford to loose that amount of money on a horse i havnt been able to sit on

I know how you feel! I have been looking for a part loan for months, all have been either too far away, too small, not jumpable or too forward going. I have sort of given up and am instead saving for getting a horse of my own sometime next year.
