Just heard that the horse we were going to try tonight is no longer for sale. His owner has decided to keep him.

I was really quite excited about him, our instructor thought he would be perfect (she already knew him) and hubby had already ridden him and liked him.

I know that it is just one of those things but can't help feeling disappointed.

Guess we just have to start actually looking for a horse, felt a bit like fate that he landed in our lap though.

Thanks MrsM, keep trying to think positive, but still a bit disappointed.

We hadn't really been looking, this horse just kind of came up and seemed perfect, so we did some sums and decided that horse ownership was possible for us and decided to go and look at him properly. So we'd kind of invested all the excitement of deciding to buy our first horse in going to look at this one.

Will have to start asking around and trawling the adverts I suppose....

Been there! Owner to be fair in my case just wanted to loan but YO had stated that she was desperate and might sell. Anyway she stuck to her guns and just wanted to loan so was a bit

then a few month later she got pregnant and needed to sell so was.

Have also had someone sell a horse I really liked to another buyer but this turned out to be a good thing as that horse was really long in the back and I got my present horse instead who is gorgeous
