argh had bronte all fit and ready to go been giving her plenty of pipe openers and long steady canter work popping some jumps aswell. bring her in from the field -lame

got the vet up asap no tendon or ligament damage showed in the scan (had to clip off her front feathers :( so now she looks silly) just a very lage swelling within the tendon sheath so drained it and injected some steroids.

it looked great this moring almost all swelling gone so i am bandaging her legs and putting like ice on the swollen one (her front left) whilst keeping her in on box rest for 2 weeks then gentle exercise for another two weeks then building up again.

vet didnt see a reason that she couldnt hunt this season once she is fit and sound again so a massive silver lining just bummed that im going to miss the opening meet i was so excited

i know i did think about it but then when i thought about it her mane (which reaches to the top of her legs) and tail took 5 years to grow and i love showing her in the summer in mountain and moorland classes as she is a dales pony so didnt have the gutts to take it off she looks so silly with clipped front legs and feathers on the back i might clip out the back legs and let them grow again together hmmm what to do

oh and thank you peeps for the nice messages cheered me right up if only my other mare (gray ish) was up to it but she roars sometimes and has a club foot so think that is a defo a no no
