Hi everyone,
When I first got my horse
jonesds
I was a bit dubious about his passport, it was from the Gypsy Cob Society, it said "temporary" on it, had wonky pages and it looked a bit homemade! I didn't send it off to change the ownership on it straight away as I wanted him to be freezemarked, and they charge £20 to change anything, so I thought I might as well add everything in one go.
Also, it said on the back that he should have a permanent one when he turns 5 (28th May)
I've received the passport back today, and it is exactly the same one I sent off, with "temporary" scribbled out and "permanent" written in its place, it's still got my handwritten addition of the freezemark ID and microchip number, and the updated photos I sent them just stuck over the inside of the front cover.
It also still says "Owner: previous owners name" on the front cover.
I would put a photo of it on, but not sure I'm allowed!
I have to confess I expected something a bit more professional looking, not just something I could have easily knocked up myself. Am I being unreasonable?
thanks for reading!

Just a thought
Contact Trading Standards in your home county and ask for advice-they may pass you to DEFRA but that passport update does not sound very professional

Presume this was Craig Thompson who did the update (or his office)

oh no thats not on. I sent mine for change of ownership and now he's gelded so will be interesting to see what they do with mine as well. Might be worth a call and have a moan and ask what exactly the £20 charge is for!

I have another GC and he's registered with BPSA and the fee to have that changed was no where near GCSP's cost!

my GCS passport is very amateur looking - wonky photocopied pages etc. I am really disappointed. I got a much better passport for my last horse with the BPSA - wish I'd got Shy's from them too *sigh*. sm x
