I have used a WOW standard thickness H girth on a horse who I could not keep the saddle in place any other way. It worked well but it doesn't half get in the way of your leg aids!

Have you tried a properly curved girth, where the buckles point forwards instead of there just being a kink in the girth and the buckles pointing out straight away from each other?

You need to lay the girth flat on the floor. The buckles should not point directly away from each other, they should point significantly forwards. The Harry Dabbs waffle girths are a good economy version to try.

A plenty long one, I hope. The buckles need to be a close as possible to the bottom of your flap. I hope it solve your problem, I use nothing but the waffle girths these days.

My horse has an extremely forward girth groove and the H-Girth is the only one that works. Even the expensive fully shaped/curved ones just ended up jammed into her armpits and rubbing.

SS do you use the thick version or the really floppy thin version? I suspect the thin version interferes less with the aids.

I will see how the curved one goes and if there is no improvement I will look at the H girth - do you have the WOW one or Stubben or something else?
