Is anyone any good at short sharp adverts for H & H please? (due to the word limit)

Really do need to sell Freddy, Harry and Tonka as soon as possible because hubby has bought some Hereford heifers and there's not enough land for us all especially with the wet winter we've had, we certainly won't be able to make our own hay this time if I don't get rid of something!

They're 3 in March, both TB x cob to make decent RC types about 16 hands. Great characters, passports with SHBGB, fully vaccinated, good to handle with farrier and vet. Plenty of pics on here since they were a fortnight old (is that a selling point?)

How can I make that lot stand out from the crowd please, I'm useless at it?!

Tonka is 2 in May, he will make a good competition type about 15 hands so great for a light adult too; full SPSS passport, full sister to Champion Mare at SPSS grading; she also had two First Diplomas from the Futurities in the dressage section.

Any help gratefully received, many thanks! xx

for sale pot. RC/all rounder rising 3 to make 16.2hh. SHB(GB) reg 100% handle, shoe, box etc. same home since foal.

rising 2 pot. competition horse for right owner. reg SPSS full sister SPSS grading Champion. won 2 first diplomas from futrities in dressage.

i am well aware that I sound like a chav, and there is the issue of punctuation to be sorted but apartvfrom that a good foundation. make sure you get a good up to date photo (from the summer) showing of their conformation because it really annoys me when i'm looking for a horse and you an't even seewhat the horse actualy looks like.
the coloured adverts stand out to me, but that may be because i am 15 and colours appeal more to younger people which might not be what you want.
also, remember to put which county you are from at the end of the advert as then you will probably get more interest. best of luck selling. xx

Not sure what the word limit is, but I have been to see hundreddss of horses for sale over time! Having all three in the same ad would make me slightly cautious.

As for photos, a nicely groomed horse (plaited if pos), stood up properly against a non-distracting background (fields or a plain coloured wall) is ideal for a youngster!

Also if they have a nice character, say so! Especially if they're to be RC types.

So something like:

"Freddy; Rising 3, tb x cob to make 16hh. Easy to handle, good with farrier and vet. Fantastic nature, would make ideal RC horse."

Thanks both of you, you given me food for thought.

Now, do you fancy doing an ad for 3 Hereford heifers that I have been traipsing around half the county for this afternoon? They've either jumped or bull dozed their way through solid thorn hedges and I've been swearing beefburgers at them so they've now got electric around their paddock and if they get out this time they'll be off to the beef factory pretty damn sharpish. At least they're hubby's and not mine causing all this trouble - which makes a change I must say!
