H&H would like to know how often you feed suplements to your horse and which types you use regularly. Also please give the names of your favourite top three supplements you use or have used by posting below.

I use these suppliments everyday:

Feedmark Equidermis - for her skin as she gets very irritated and scurfy

Corta-flx (off ebay) - for her hocks as she has huge windgalls and it helps to stop her from stiffening up

Skratch (Global Herbs) - pollen allergy

Zephyr (Global Herbs) - to be used with Skratch to help with pollen allergy

Dodson & Horrell Breathe Free - helps with coughing/breathing

Naf Electrolytes - when its hot she gets them in her tea

My top three suppliments would be the Equidermis, Skratch/Zephyr and Breathe Free. The Equidermis has totally cleared up her skin and she now has a lovely mane and tail and her coat is gorgeous. The Skratch and Zephyr have practically cured her pollen allergy, she dosent headshake when tied outside her stable with no net on anymore and she is just so much happier. If i take her off the breathe free she starts coughing, so this definatley works well too

Favourite supplements:

Hormonise - I find it works well on mareish mares!

Equiflex - glucosamine/chondroitin supplement

Veg oil - great for shiny coats

My good ness - you would be better off asking which ones I DONT use!

Cider Vinegar
Oil
Cortaflex
Vit E/Selenium
Yeast/Balancer
MSM

for all 3 horses in full work

plus

No-Bute/ Bute on rotation for our box resting lady !

daily:
cortaflex
equivit original
linseed oil

he has bone spavin therefore I feed omega 3 oils (linseed) and glucosamine and chondroitin sulphate (cortaflex).
i always feed a multi vit and my favourite is equivit

My pony doesn't have any supplements except for garlic in the summer. My mum's horse is quite old and has cortaflex and veteran powder everyday.

Instant Linseed from Simple System

Feed balancer and condition flakes from Top Spec

Cortavet from Equine America

DTox from NAF

Thrive from NAF

Salt and Lo Salt from Tesco!

Best supplement so far... Coligone from H Bradshaw's. . Absolutely brilliant stuff.

rarely, in hot weather when honey sweats she is given electrolytes.
not bad for a horse with Navicular and DJD and a nice L stamped on her!!

my horse is a 20yr old 15.1hh Welsh Section D. He gets a vit&min supplement, cider vinegar, omega oil, salt and MSM every day. He lives out. If he has to be stabled for more than a night then he has to have Winergy's Ventilate as well or his lunge get really bad and he coughs up loads of yuck.

Equilibra balancer
Cider Vinegar
Rock salt/or electrolytes when needed
Garlic
NAF MSM
(used to feed Selenium, Vit E and Lysine but stopped when I started feeding equilibra, as it already has selenium in it).
Cod liver oil in winter.

Till's has Feedmark Benevit daily (with some carrots and chaff).

Mick's has NAF Laminaze and live yogurt (with chaff and carrots).

Both have oil in winter and garlic and salt in summer.

we only feed them if they are having hard feed, atm they are not. but we use:

Garlic, super flex or msm or devil claw (normally the super flex) and we used to feed super codlivine suppliment but realised it was pointless and stopped.

Cairo - 20 year clydie

Feedmark's Benevit, Garlic and Equidermis - April to September

Equimins Pro-bio

Cortaflex

Chancer - 2 year gypsy cob

Feedmark's garlic and Equimins Youngstock supplement

They both also have black sunflower seeds and salt.
