Hello All,

Bored of all this snow, so have been thinking... "If I were a given the opportunity to sit on one horse in the whole world, past/present who would I like to have a gift ride on/with?" and also "Who would I most like to see ride which horse?"

I know I could never ever ride the horse like it was accustomed, but I would love to meet some famous equines and see what they were like in the flesh... The horse I would most like a gift ride on, would probably be Opposition Buzz, he looks to honest and fun (also that he would look after me!! :o)

I have no clue who I would like to see ride a horse, probably a SJer riding a GP dressage horse, but I am very open to suggestions!!

Debate and entertain please!!! :D

I would absolutely love to sit on Mistral Horjis, probably with a neckstrap and reins on a headcollar, because I seriously doubt I could sit to him, but it would be great fun trying.
Otherwise, a really fab Grade A schoolmaster with a perfect reliable rhythm to a fence, to jump some really big courses and build my confidence up.
Eventers... hmm, wouldn't want a gift ride, would just love my grey mare back please, she was beyond awesome.

I think I would like to ride a top dressage horse as I am very inexperienced at that! I'm not fussy which one though!

If I had to choose a SJ, it would have to be shutterfly - amazing horse
Eventer - I would love to sit on toytown, think he'd be alot of fun!

There are a couple of show horses in particular I would like to ride so as to be able to feel the ride that they give the judge.

Unfortunately I haven't properly read this week's horse and horse as it is as work and I am not but having flicked through it in the motorway services last week the photos of Hayley Turner on the hunter looked amazing.

Having red this weeks H&H the HW hunter is awesome, such a dude, and I would definitely jump at the chance to ride an awesome show horse!

I would dearly love to ride work on Imperial Commander. In a completely different discipline I would give anything to sit on any of Carol Bardo's show cobs!

Yeah, Little Tiger looks awesome fun, and I would also love a go on Chapel Amble, Nick Gaunttlets old mare who went clear xc at Badminton this year, she looked seriously exciting!

I reckon it would be an amazing sort of feeling, a bit like being twelve and fantasising about going round Badminton on your pony...except you are going round Badminton on a superstar pony?!

I have a huge catalogue of 'would love to ride's but number 1 would have been Murphy Himself, although I may have ended up in a different country by the time I could be under control..... I saw him at an Ian Stark clinic where he did a display to music and it has forever left an impression on me. An Awesome Horse.

From the present it would be The Philanderer - just so I would know what I should aspire to in the show ring!

From the past it would have to be RYANS SON. I loved him to pieces, he was the first horse that I can remember watching on BBC when they used to show HOYS and Olympia every night live. I had the great pleasure of meeting him in 1985 at HOYS at Wembley and the bugger bit me!! Broke my heart when he died, I could never go to the Derby meeting at Hickstead now because that brings back so many memories.

I would also love to have had a chance to ride BEST MATE. Saw him one year at Hen's yard at an open day and fell even more in love with him. He would give Kauto, IC or Denman a run for their money in his heyday.

Of the current bunch, it would either be TOTILAS or I would love to jump Ladina B over the puissance wall, and have fun sitting to her frolics before

There are only two horses that i can think that i would love to ride, having previously already ridden a four star eventer on a work trial and loved it, i would absolutely love to ride mary kings apache sauce :) he just looks amazing going cross country and would love a shot, im not the most confident xc but would love to ride something like him, and SJ would love to ride Ladina B def not over the puisance wall right enough but round a course of a few jumps, she does similar to what one of my old horses does but just alot more!

For eventing, either Lenamore or Supreme Rock - both look like lovely rides but not nasty in any way. Dressage, probably Mister Horjis or Totilas just to see if I could sit to their trot! :D

I have far too many, its almost impossible to choose! But i think:

For the Eventer's it has to be Lenamore - He is cheeky and quirky, and just amazing!!

For the showjumpers it would have to be between Albert Zoer's rides;
Oki Doki - Sadly now he is in the past. Such a brilliant horse :(
Or, his new horse Uruguay - He's only 8, but is just so neat and careful. Definitely one to watch!!

Dressage - Winyamara, ridden by Catherine Haddad, OR Jerich Parzival.

I think Totilas is an obvious one... but I'd love to ride one of Carl Hester's top horses, I love how he trains and rides, and I think it would be very interesting to see how that comes out in how his horses go for someone else! (not that I believe I'd be capable of doing much on one, but if I could...!)
Another that springs to mind is Headley Britannia - I'm more of a mare person anyway and she looks like such a fantastic (little! I like!) horse! :D
I would also love to have a go on one of the famous race horses.... any race horse to be honest :o I don't know enough about racing to name names tbh but you get the idea!
Also, Blue Hors Matine, if she was still around... such a fantastic dancing horse, I think I'd spend the entire time grinning/giggling though :p
Last but not least either Arko or Russel - both horses that I've always admired for their power and technique, amazing

In all.... too many! xD

ooh who to choose?

I love Philip Hobbs' hurdler Menorah.. so he'd be my first pick! take him for a jump and a spin up the gallops :D I also love this years Grand national winner Don't push it.

Then there is Tim Stockdale's mare Corlato, or Tina Fletcher's promised land :D My sort of horse!
Dressage.. hmm. Be Laura Bechtolsheimer's Andretti H.
Eventing... Phoebe Buckley's up and coming eventer Hillocks black jack :D or Piggy French's Some day soon.

From the past, it would have to be either Primmore's Pride or Supreme Rock.

I would love to have a jump on Opposition Buzz or Lenamore.

For show jumping, I would like Itot de Chateau.

And for dressage, I would like Mistral Hojris.

Deliver them to my door please Santa ;)

I was thinking Milton too!

From the present SJ it would have to be corlarto or Tim Stockdales bay whos name escapes me who won the king george this yr

eventing is it billy black jack that has the amazing record

and dressage minstral horis although I wont stay on im sure

I would love to sit on Totilas. And I don't think I'd be scared either, that is as long as I kept the trot unexpressive and small :D

Another horse I would love to ride is Lissaro, the winner of this year's BuCha for 6yo. He is soooo calm and relaxed and seems to be extremely rideable.

If I could choose a horse who is no longer here with us I would have to go for Mythilus, always loved him.

If I could choose an ideal combination, I would put together Edward Gal and Totilas. Yes I can be pathetic like that :D

My choices would have to be...
Moorlands for dressage
Imperial Cavalier for xc
Finbarr V for sj, he would be intresting to try given his strange jumping style
I would also love to race Towkay the thoroughbred stallion in Nz or any of my yearlings that i sold in 2009 in
