H&H report - could someone explain this please?

This report worries me. The Donkey Sanctuary & Trading Standards were involved. Yet, the donkeys concerned were returned to the owner & now cannot be traced. I understand that the Donkey Sanctuary cannot seize animals but why on earth wasn't a charity that can i.e RSPCA involved? I can only hope that those poor donkeys are now in the care of someone who gives a damn.

No, last year the Donkey Sanctuary returned the animals to the owner. I have no idea why the spokesman said they didn't know their whereabouts when they were clearly back at the farm.
