h2000 alternatives (boring hat related thread)

I'm after a new velvet hat with flesh harness in blue. I've always had h2000s but they're dear.

What is the gatehouse one like and also the Caldene one? I like the look of Charles Owen Fiona hat but that's even more. I want it to be as slimline as possible as i hate looking like I have a gold fish bowl on my head!

If you know where to find one in the sales that would be even better!
 
To be honest the velvet is probably not quite as plush when new but after a couple of months of wear you'd be hard pushed to tell the difference.

This is the caldene one. I don't like the buckle on it though so might just forget about it.

Stupid Charles owen. They're so nice but so prohibitively expensive! I used to have a nice green one which I sold and my blue one is super tatty now and no good for showing at all. I refuse to wear a beagler on youngsters. Besides, they're just as expensive!
 
be grateful you can just buy a hat, i need a new show hat and ive got to get charles owen to make it =( because ive got such a funny shaped head

my poor OH is like that. His head is really long and thin! Looks normal but impossible to fit a hat to him properly!
