Haas brushes

Hi, I’m considering getting some Haas brushes…. I have 2 bay cobs that need a good grooming prior to clipping as no facilities to wash them.
I’m looking at “ Schimmel, Diamond diva, new generation Curry comb, Mane and tail,and not sure if I need Military and Parcour” too?
Not sure if I need them all, or even what order to use them, but I need something that will get as clean as possible as I recently blunt my new clipper blades after grooming until coats gleaming… but sadly dirty underneath

People rave about them but tbh I don’t think they are anything special. I might be missing something lol

a good old body brush and elbow grease does the same job! Don't waste your money

My favourite brush, by a long way, is the Haas Military brush. Well worth the money.

They are lovely brushes, but they are just brushes, not magic implements that work in any "special" way.

They are good and tough brushes. But the real benefit comes from actually using them . A 10 mins daily whizz through the sequence of brushes and you will really see the difference.

If I only got one I would have a schimmel it’s a great all rounder .

I have 2 Haas brushes after people raved about them on H&H forum. I used them on a fine coated Andalusian type grey. But for all the Irish horses I have loved and ridden regularly, including the current one, I use my Oster brushes. They are Western style, easy for elderly hands to grip and I love the fine soft curry pad. You can also wash them.

Depends on your horse. For a fine skinned tb I use the Fellglantz/gloss brush and the curry comb more than anything. I have the military and cavalliere but I tend to use one or the other when particularly dirty/winter coat. He wouldn't tolerate anything harsher like the schimmel or Mustang. Got the mane and tail with the set but personally wouldn't bother with it if I was buying separately.

There are other good quality brushes out there but I replaced some bog standard ones and an Oster one so saw a big improvement.

This. They are lovely brushes, exactly like the brushes you used to be able to buy in any saddlers a few decades ago. You still need to use a bit of elbow grease with them. I use the Militaire most and then the Schimmel and the Parcour. I wouldn't bother buying any other brushes these days.
