Does anyone have any experience of the above condition?

My Arab mare has had recurrent conjunctivitis in both eyes for several months now. She has seen the vet multiple times, has had her eyes examined and has had intensive treatment with eye drops. Although the infection has improved, it refuses to go completely. I was planning to get the vet out tomorrow anyway as I'm not happy with the situation as it is, but decided to do a little googling first. And low and behold I came across Habronema, and I can't help wondering if this might be the underlying problem! Around a month ago, my mare developed a small sore on her nose, which I thought was caused by eating thistles. It has improved with sudocreme, but still looks slightly odd. I assumed that the damp grass was slowing its healing, but now I wonder if it could be a summer sore caused by habronema. She also has quite scabby heels and some of the scabs seem itchy - in fact, I was going to ask the vet if there was any chance she could have mites! I can't help thinking that I might have found what the problem is, and I will certainly be insisting on a skin biopsy, but I was just wondering if anyone else had any experience of this?
