Hi all not posted for a while!
So hello again 😊 I've just ordered a bespoke joint supplement for my girl from hack up supplements, just wondering who else uses these supplements and has noticed improvements? They've been extremely helpful with customer service so I'm looking forward to trying her on the supplement.

If you do a search - there are loads of positive threads about Hack Up. I use them and rate them highly - just too lazy to type the same thing again!!

Excellent products, Ive got my boy on the calmer/detox/digest and it has really helped his spookiness. Its a 10 day loading dose and I can certainly see the difference. They are very good to speak to on the phone if anyone feels they want to chat first. The supplements are no more expensive than an off the shelf calmer, in fact you get more in the tub so works out cheaper as once off the loading dose you only feed 20g once a day.

I asked about joint sups and was recommended hack up. I then got given joint sups from the vet so never ordered but insurance runs out later this year and hack up is cheaper so will be swapping over.

I've had mine off of hers for a few months and this thread reminded me to reorder. The step free is a life saver for competitions/travelling, i notice a huge difference if i go to load her without a shot of it!

Explain? I didn't see any results with mine.

Basically- I bought the bespoke digestive/calmer and hack-up step free. I knew the step free was a 'standard pre-formulated' product but my bespoke product was exactly the same formulation as two separate friends and all three had different issues. So not very 'bespoke' this got me thinking so I decided as soon as I ran out I didn't bother ordering any more and the horse did not deteriorate- in fact it was less spooky than on the calmer! The thing was at the start I thought the calmer was working - but I think it was just other factors that I was trying at the same time- the calmer was sort of the placebo- I tried doing more stuff with him because I expected him to be better behaved etc etc- and he did behave because I was more confident and I think for me it was just a kick up the bum. We just grew in confidence in each other - to double check it wasn't the calmer- I ordered some more as recently moved the horse- he's been on it three weeks and absolutely no improvement.

I suppose, to me, it makes no odds whether it is bespoke to our horses or not.... it works for us and that's what's important to me.... I also know that my farrier noticed a difference in Tom's flexibility and how he moved after shoeing and when he asked what we'd changed the only thing was the joint supplement.... Also, Alex suggested a tweak to the formula of our digestive product following a colic scare with Ron which you just wouldn't get with any other company.

the thing I'd say about calmers is that there are so many possible reasons for spookiness or sharpness that maybe the hack up calmer didn't have an effect for your horse because it's aimed at different causes....
