Hackamores..fitting of

Hi...I'm a newbie poster on this forum.

Would any of you kind peeps know anything about the fitting of hackamores. I had struggled with my head tossing, mouth shy part arab in a loose ring french link for 2 years when I decided to see if he was more comfortable in a hackamore. I have bought one and put it together on him taking care not to "drop" the noseband too much but would be grateful if anyone can give me any vital tips I may have missed. Thanks

The noseband should fit two fingers' width below the prominent cheek bones at the side of the face.

Make sure the noseband is tight on him otherwise it'll slip from side to side, rub him, and you wont have any control, bit like a lunge cavesson really.
