Anybody know if you can get these with shorter shanks? Some seem to differ with what length they are - Id prefer them on the slightly shorter side.

when we bought one last year we were told they only come in one size. not sure if that is true though

The English hackamore may vary between manufacturers, but most are made to the same size.
On saying that I found one called short cheek and long cheek in our German catalogue (both english style)
There is also the Mo lekuers happy wheel, which you can buy a shank for.

Are you sure you want one with a very short shank? That will be quite severe as the action will come into play immediately you touch your reins. Better off with one which has slightly longer shanks.
If you can push the boat out - I would thoroughly recommend a Sprenger hackamore - well worth the money in my opinion.
