Have just come back from a brilliant hack out
Beginning of the year I attempted to go out and both Bud and I tipped up on the road after he spooked, reared up and lost his footing on landing
both of us were fine if rather shook up.
Hacked back from a local show in June which was fab, but today I set out with the intention of hacking out, friend had text me last night suggesting it as her horse is 100% bombproof and would be good company for Bud.
Anyway, we set off, gentle walk up the road, lots to look at but no spooks etc, got to the end of the road, turned around as the other road to come back would be busier than Bud could probably cope with at the moment.
Other than meeting a tractor on the way up which I promptly dismounted and he stood good as gold. On the way back, we noticed a few sheep running around the field
strange we thought, looked up and saw not just 1 but 9 planes coming over very low, at this point I thought "here goes", was only the red arrows
Then met a lorry who stopped, walked past that no problems and carried on back to the yard.
Pointless post, but today having an amble out for an hour and a half has given both Bud and I so much confidence ready for the next time we go out, hopefully Sunday.
