Hiya, new loan horse is stabled in Kenilworth and we have been exploring some of the bridleways around the castle and down towards Warwick. I heard somebody mention the other day that there are some gallops on a bridlepath, but I cant remember who said it. If anyone knows of any please let me know. I know the school of riding in Warwick has some to rent, so maybe they meant those? Also if anybody knows of any good hacking routes please share! Thanks guys and happy hacking!

I've been riding around this area for a considerable number of years, so if you find the gallops, could you let me know :) there are some good tracks that you can get a fairly good speed on though!

There is the Offchurch Bury you can hire. Never ridden the Kenilworth Greenway so maybe there. I've managed a gallop on some of the bridleways you've already found! Let us know if you find any other routes.

Kenilworth greenway not suitable for gallops I'm afraid. It is tarmac with a gravel non slip surface on top. There are grassy bits to the side but bot very wide and is used by lots of pedestrians/ dog walkers and cyclists down there. Have ha an unplanned canter down there before and didn't feel ok doing so, there are some steep drops to the side in some parts.

You can get some good gallops out if the kenilworth castle/rouncil lane routes though.

Offchurch is good, chasers course with XC (some small and nice ones and a few pretty meaty ones). £25 to use though.

If you contact Janet at Warwick riding school I'm sure she can enlighten you to some in the area.
