Hacking centres bridport area

Hi I am going on holiday last week of sept/first oct to west bay, bridport. I am desperate to go out for a hack and wondered if anyone had any recommendations for centres, I have tried googling but not much has come up.

I'm looking for anything, although I have ridden for years and consider myself a competent rider - walk trot canter gallop buti Haven't ridden for more than 6 months so would be just as happy plodding along.

Hillside horseriding its near Weymouth. I don't really know the Bridport area so well.

I drive through the area quite regularly and apparently there is a place somewhere near Charmouth, on one of the hills back from the town??? Anyone know?

Also there looks like there's a lot of horses in a field where the road bends around near the Golf Course at Burton Bradstock, near the holiday camp??? Dunno what that's like??

that is the campsite I'm going to but no horses their anymore according to mum and dad who went down at the weekend

Oooohhh....... mmm, so mebbe its a summer outfit then. Wished I lived nearer coz I've got a spare horse and you could have come out with me midweek; but I live "over the border" so not really viable.

PS meant to add that I was browsing looking for something else and there IS apparently a place near Lulworth, which is basically along the coast to the east....... google "Lulworth riding centre" and it might just come up. Dunno what its like though.

It is usually a summer thing they used to loan the horses out over the winter it was run by a thrid party but the costs have got too high so they've packed it in :-( will try the other place

This was discussed a few weeks ago, at the end of July. Dodpen stables seemed to be the best. Their contact details are on that Bridport thread. Lulworth is lovely but a good 50 mins drive away, as it's almost at Wareham.
