Hacking - Forest of Dean, Glos

I know this is a long shot but, is anyone able to recommend any good hacks around the Longhope /Mayhill/Blaisdon area?

Struggling to find any decent routes....there is a massive lack of bridleways it seems .....

any suggestions greatly appreciated!!

I'm not sure about Longhope, but I know someone you rides May hill and Newent woods from there. I'm a little in the other direction and ride in the woods around Flaxley which backs on to Blaisdons Velthouse lane , but i don't think there is any access you'd have to go around.

The area you've given is quite large which are you based and I may be able to be more helpful.

Thanks for your reply! I'm at livery in longhope but do hack to velthouse lane to blaisdon....but like you say have to go all the way round to flaxley to get into the woods.....

if i go the otherway towards barrell lane past farmers boy pub i see theres a bridleway there but seems to be dead end on map with no further access up towards mayhill....

its just so frustrating that the A40 seems to cut off all te nice areas from each other!
