Afternoon :)

I'm just posting on the off chance there might be anyone in the South Notts or surrounding areas who wanted someone to hack with. / is willing to let me tag along sometimes. I've got two cobs ( one is only a baby) and I'm keen to get them out and about more and in different places both for their education and enjoyment and for my confidence. I do have a box so can get myself to different areas but unfortunately I'm not able to transport others as I've had to remove my partitions for the coloured cob :)

Thanks

Thanks for replying!

My boys live in Bradmore but happy to travel about 10 miles or so :) where abouts are you / do to hack?

Hi,
Are you still looking for someone to hack with? I'm between bunny and Wysall ( you may know where I have two donkeys!!!) and have just acquired my first horse, also a cob but we're both quite green, me more so, and I'm desperate for some company!
Thanks :)

I have a cob youngster and a partner who usually walks with the dog. I just walk or lead and take it very easy. I'm in Bramcote with no off road riding but a little box so head to Elvaston or Beacon Hill or other local places. We haven't been out much over the winter but once been to a few weddings I hope to get out more. I trim most Saturdays so it's only really Sundays. If you stuck I'm happy to come horseless if you want a spare bod on the ground (could do with burning calories!)

Best wishes, Hannah

That's so kind. I don't know what's wrong with me, dreamt of a horse for 25 years get one and I'm not confident any more. He's a young Irish import and has never ever put a hoof out of line but I'm so nervous. He's on my own farm with no other horses so I feel maybe I should have started him at a DIY livery whilst I got confidence. I have no box either and all my horsey friends are miles away. I might just take you up on that offer! I'm sure bramcotes not far, what is near? Xx

Do you get horsemanship mag, Cathy Sirett was doing a confidence series? She is does sessions in Notts. I saw her at the equine touch practitioners conference (which I'm not! I was adopted by them for the weekend!) and she really inspired
me and was hoping to do something with her, as I'm quite low conference in the work environment. I have to box out from where I live, but could come to you. Prob best if I just walked out with you first, then maybe brought a horse. Maybe email me hannah@barefootchampions.co.uk where you are. I know what it's like to be less confident, I'm nervous driving in the box going anywhere hill like as have irrational hill fear, even turning if not completly flat!

I only have one more holistic natural friend who I go out with and if one of us thinks our horse isn't calm or we get slightly tense we just get off and walk.

She has a new youngster, and when I first started Topaz it was so nice to have someone walking on the ground.

Do contact me if I can help, I don't have much spare time but building a confident foundation is so important.

Hannah
