At some point I will be moving horses over that way and before I do I'd like to know if there is actually any good places to ride there as I have no idea where these places are?
You have to like road work to get to any hacking in Chertsey or surrounding areas. I keep my horses in Virginia water so have Chobham common to ride on, but that is quite a hack on the roads. There is Chertsey meads to ride on (basically a large green field), but other than that it is not great.
Luckily Shadow is brill on the roads, well most of the times and we can hack about finding bridleways etc to explore.. there is a nice bridle way around a lake and through a xmas tree farm, but again lots of road work to get there :-(
If you have a trailer there are quite a few commons you can get to within 10mins (horsell etc)
I would have a look on a ordanance survey map to check it out.
