Hacking in the New Forest....

Burley, near Christchurch, though cant remeber how to get there exactly as it was years ago when my dad was still around he used to take me to a riding stables there that just does hacking. Absolutely beautiful place, there and exmoor are two of the most breathtaking areas to ride in this country imo

Not sure if you mean on your own or on a guided ride, but if the latter then I had a fun ride from Bagnum stables. Loads of canters and lovely scenery. Lovely guide too! Typical RS horses but seemed to enjoy their job.

In the area between Fordingbridge and Ringwood ( where I just happen to live! ) the hacking is great, sandy tracks for a good gallop no matter how hard the rest of the ground is, enclosures to ride in if its hot, and loads of pubs where you can tie up - Red Shoot, High Corner Inn, The Forresters etc etc.
Are you riding your own or going from a stables?

Have to agree I used to work at a stables around there and regularly used to do rides to High Corner Inn!

Where I am now is pretty amazing too (around the pony sales area at Beaulieu Rd), but you do need to know where you are going as lots of bogs too!

I'm near Fritham / Stoney Cross / Brook area and that quite good for enclosures, open spaces and pubs. The Royal Oak at Fritham has individual pony pens. You can hack from there to the other places mentioned (High Corner inn). Some of the tracks are clearly indicated on the OS explorer map for the New Forest.
