Hi,

Does anyone know what the hacking is like in and around Tonbridge Kent? Also are there many livery yards in the area?

Thanks

Hey

There is loads of hacking in the Hadlow/Tonbridge area, and also loads of beautiful hacking up in Crouch/Borough Green way.

Also loads and loads of livery yards. What side of Tonbridge are you on? I know the Hadlow side and the Crouch area very well and can recommend loads! And tell you which ones to avoid!

Thanks for your response, it's Horsmonden, Lamberhurst road that i am looking at.
I have had a look on some websites and can't see that many bridleways so any information would be great.
Thanks

I used to live in Marden - around there it always used to be more farmers giving permission for you to ride around fields than bridleways.

Bedgebury Forest used to be part of the TROT scheme - fantastic hacking there. I used to livery at Bedgebury School (shows you how long ago that was) and loved the hacking. Is the yard still there as apart from the winter turnout it was great ?

There used to be a yard Matfield way that had a good reputation but **** hacking, I used to go the tack shop by the petrol station (can't remember the name sorry) on the Goundhurst - Staplehurst road, they know loads of yards etc.

I can tell you a YO to avoid Marden way if you need it - also know a good yard Paddock Wood way.

Nice XC course at Bedgebury. Also Lodge Farm XC course in Matfield, open to the public on Wednesdays and Saturdays - that's very near Horsmonden.

Ooh I just moved to Risebridge Farm in Goudhurst. I've heard Bedgebury forest is great.

Sharon Hunt has just moved to Bedgebury EC too.
