Does anyone have any recommendations for a not too expensive, tweed ladies hacking jacket in about a size 10?

It's only for occasional use so I don't want to spend huge amounts- hunting and BHS exams, and is it OK to wear tweed for unaffiliated SJ? If so, is it acceptable to wear a body protector over the top or do I have to buy a big one so I can wear it underneath?
Thanks.

ohhhh....have they said anything yet?

Hengest farm have some nice hacking jackets...there are also some in a second hand bit - but you do have to search a bit to find them!

Erm I haven't actually had the conversation yet - just waiting for an opportune moment when neither of us is busy.

Oooh, I have a navy tagg jacket and I love it! I'm also in need of a new hacking jacket for the show season! Will have to get spending...

Thanks, I'll have a look.

Does anyone have an opinion on the Dublin Canberra jacket, which seems to be the cheapest on the market?

also, how does "maids" sizing compare to "ladies"? it's on a different scale with jodhpurs I think.

E.g. my last show jacket was a dublin Child's 30" and maids' goes up to 34" so I think I could probably save a few £ there.

I'm not terribly keen on the Dublin Canberra - the fabric looks like Hessian in real life. They always look creased and crumpled in the shops, so whether they improve with wear I don't know. I'd rather get a good second hand one than the Canberra.

thanks for that - i wasn't sure about it as the cut doesn't look that flattering from the photos either. I'll find out about the returns policy of the ebay seller above for the Tagg jackets, as they only have 32" not 34" which might not fit.
