Hacking jackets in summer?

I love them but they always look so wintery. Are hacking jackets still correct unaffiliated dressage/show-jumping attire in the summer?
 
yeah!

tend to warm up without mine though, and put it on at the last moment, to minimise risk of passing out!!
 
Yes completely correct for that! I agree, I love them but they are hot, no pain no gain. I have just always thought that if you compete in summer you're gonna be hot!!! Get a sleveless shirt-that might help a little bit x x x
