Hacking - Leicestershire/Warwickshire

Hi all, still fairly new to the area and wondered if anyone can suggest some nice hacking routes for me. We are in between Market Bosworth and Ibstock and I have heard there are lots of places that are nice to hack to e.g Shackerstone.

Be great if anyone could suggest some rides with maybe one or 2 pubs en route for those nice long summer hacks.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Around Carlton is quite nice.......my knowledge of the area is based though on hunting and not hacking. Suggest you get a good OS map and go exploring! Good Luck!

Thanks for your response. Funnily enough that's pretty much where we are!

I have had a look at a few maps but its hard to tell what the routes are like. Some of the bridleways seem a bit out of date!

Just wondered if anybody had any specific recommendations.

Hi Karly
Right we really must get together this spring!! I have hardly had chance to do much with Jerry over the Winter but have now just started hacking him out again. I am on my half term hols from next Monday - can you ride in the week? We will certainly get out and about and definitely include a couple of pubs - only ones with picnic tables though cos I can't get on Jerry from the ground .... and you'll have to go in the pub to get the drinks, you'll look better in jods than me

Shame its other side of Leicester, but up and around Quenby hall and Bagrave park is rather lovely
