For those of you who read "dissapointed in myself" I thought I would update. I took Ruby on a hack yesterday with my YO and her Horse. I asked could we do the route I attempted last weekend, as it would do me and Ruby some good to go round it again. Well she didnt't put a foot wrong and wasn't spooky or anything. We even went in a field an had a canter! And she was fine. Then today I schooled her, there was a tiny cross pole set up in the school. As she was going so well, I thought sod it! And next thing I knew I was riding into the jump! I have never jumped her before and she has only jumped about 3 times in the last year! Very proud of us. We popped over it 3 times and she loved it! Next weekend, I am tackling hacking alone!

Fantastic! I read your other thread, it can be so disheartening when things don't go as planned, glad you had a good time today & have got your mojo back! :)

Thank you :)

I am still beaming when I think about the jumping :D granted it wasn't the best of jumps (my fault) but Ruby enjoyed it and I was proud of her for popping over them, nice sensible and calm approach. Considering she hasn't jumped much in the last year.

I'm going to give it another month, to carry on getting her fitness levels up and getting to know one another again. Then I will start having weekly lessons with my YO's RI. Can't wait.
