Well the holiday year finishes on Friday and I had saved a day in case I needed it for any emergencies. As none have arisen to date I booked today off and it's been so good i just had to tell you lovely HHOs about it...
Not only was the weather great but I spent the morning with a very experienced shire breeder teaching me to plait and generally talking to me about heavy horses. I was ready to leave but he said, "don't feel you've got to rush off, unless you need to." Music to my ears. So I then got to see a mare being covered for the first time! OMG those shire stallions are a sight to behold.
This was followed by a quick trip home to change before a lunch stop at the farm shop before stopping in to the saddlery, just because I could!
Then I went and got my Big Pony... We took a sneaky early season trip to the nearby XC course for our first gallop of 2012. Weeee..... Amazing!!!
then I came home and my husband hasn't commented on the washing up being done, instead he got the BBQ out and started cooking for me!
Bugger, I have to go back to work tomorrow!
