I have had a great day today. Took my saddle in for re-flocking. Spent three hours chatting to Dave there. He's such a fascinating man to talk to and answered all of our questions happily.

I watched my saddle get pulled apart and reflocked. We also had a tour of the rest of the workshop and saw the saddles in various stages, being made. He showed us the concept behind the trees, how to alter them etc etc.

Absolutely brilliant day. He even bought my friend and I lunch. Absolutely marvellous guy.

Only charged me £20 too!

Wow, what a day.

Sounds really interesting aswell, seeing how all the saddles are made. You lucky thing.

yup - he is a lovely bloke... I'm hoping to go do the fitting course in a couple of months... have a couple of their saddles now and love them...

WOW I want the purple one!!!!!
I have been put off their saddles as my friend was looking for a saddle for her very high withered/dipped back ID and we went to superhorse the pet shop in Surrey (they sell saddle co saddles) and they were very dismissive saying that they would be able to get one for a high withered horse and they didn't seem at all interested.

Ooh! They have a saddle I really like:

It is the blue one, 2nd down on the right...

Some of my friends hate it!

I'd seen them on the site and didn't like them.

However, they have them in stock in the workshop and I must say they look far more classy than the images on the net show them to be.

The burgundy and the navy ones are nicest.

Did you know that for an extra £30 you can have memory foam in the seat? I wish that had been available when I had mine.

I'd call Dave up at the Head Office in Walsall.

The saddlery shops make less profit on the Saddle Company Saddles so can be quite dismissive of them, preferring to push a make they have more mark up on.

Patches - I have the dressage Genoa saddle company saddle.

I need my saddle checked quite urgently, can you recommend a really good and trithful saddle fitter in the Northants area.

Thanks

I'm sorry.

I'm not a saddle company fitter. Just a customer who visited the factory.

If you email them through the "contact us" link from their website, they will contact you with a fitter in your area.

my youngster is quite high withered and dipped as she is immature and the saddle company fitter did a template and sent that in to them and they made to fit. I think having read Patches postings and initial problem that alot depends on how helpful your saddle fitter is.
