Ok well first things first it was Dave's birthday anniversary yesterday and he would have been 41 so wanted a nice day to keep myself occupied so booked Somerford Farm Ride with sis, Lisa (L154XX) and 2 friends from yard.
Well had a fab day, Pidge was motoring and really enjoyed himself jumping, I was feeling confident as well which helped immensely, even if I was on lots of ibuprofen for my poorly toes

Played over all the fences I normally do, and jumped the coffin and tyres 3 times

, one of my bogey fences the blue one with tyres on top on my own

AND I jumped the two steeplechase fences near the end, just had a wobble at the 2nd one but jumped it in the end, so I was chuffed to bits with me and Pidge. Everyone else really enjoyed themselves and May is still so much in love with Pidge

then went out for a balti with the family last night as Dave loved his baltis.
Also pick up my new toy this morning, but will post re that later on..............................

It was fab yesterday and I know I was chuffed to bits to push myself and jump some bigger fences, as did Chris and you! What are you doing next weekend? trying to persuade Chris to come out again as got a free weekend but she's umming and ahhing......................

Sounds like a great day & should have been nice weather for you too.

You could do the Marbury ride next weekend - may be bit far for you though (near Whitchurch)? It is supposed to be an excellent fun ride. We are hoping to go but every time we have tried to go in the past, something has gone wrong, so not banking on it!

It was lovely yesterday and the rain the day before meant the going was lovely too as I need to be careful of hard ground with Pidge's hock.
Oh near Whitchurch is a bit far from Stafford but once I've got the hang of the new lorry who knows

Say to yourself "I'm not doing anything at the weekend" and then hopefully nothing will happen and you can go

The trick is not to tell the horses that there's anything exciting in the offing! Used to be whenever we told Marco there was a show on he'd go lame the next day. Though these days he is enjoying going out and can't wait to get on the lorry!

yes tell me about it! had the HHO outing to Somerford all sorted and then Pidge goes lame the weekend before we are supposed to go and then it turns into hock spavin..........
thinking about it not sure I want to organise a mini HHO meet as what will happen to Pidge beforehand

might just be safer to let someone else sort it out.................
