Had a lovely suprise today!! lami mare update!!

Well wasnt holding my breathe for this day but she had one drop of milk on her teats last night t time, checked 10pm nothing, checked 1230, nothing!!! checked 330, still nothing!!! was suprised how light it was so i decided to muck out and go home for a few hours, arrived 8am to find a very pretty but weak colt foal, my 5th colt!!! propt him up to feed and im now happy to say he's up and about, loves mums milk bar, but she has a small udder so im hopeing she does ok? she is a star, proved vet wrong and foaled and cleansed on her own, she was super proud this morning!!! will post pics when im feeling more normal, mare has improved and walking about, not out of the woods but im hopeing. He's called Juno!!

Hopefully the mare will improve now. Friends lami mare had a foal that was a bit small and weak but was perfectly ok after a day or two.

Great news, can;t wait for pics. My lami mare is now out 16 hours a day (overnight) and doing well, thanks to fat little foal slurping all her milk!
