pulling manes, trimming feathers, cutting tails and generally having a spring clean (all 9 horses). They are looking decent again after the winter go slow

. I even managed to muck out the goats , henhouse and the field shelter. I am filthy but pleased with myself and have somehow managed to sort out the dinner. I think I deserve a glass of wine or two (pity Ive stopped drinking

). What have you all been up to today? Mairi.

Am going to take Clyde for a walk in-hand around the village tomorrow,so I want him to look nice when everyone greets him again. He has been on box rest for 9 weeks so it will be the first time he has been off the premises. So, he has been groomed from head to toe, had his legs and feet trimmed back, so you can see his sexy legs! Then, with OH's help, have erected a maze in the field so that Clyde can walk around as much as he likes, but can't (in theory!) break into a canter and re-rupture his tendon. Then, I cleaned out the tack room because someone else is coming to live with him soon to keep him company. So, I am also smelly but happy. It's just the sort of day for doing things like that, isn't it?

No, I decided to stop so stop I did

. I am going to allow myself some Italian icecream (the best in the world) with some whisky poured over it .Thats what the recipe book says and I follow recipies to the T

I cleaned my tack, did some washing and tidying indoors, loaded the lorry, washed and plaited Gen and went to a Dressage.

Go and have a LARGE glass of wine and forget that you've given it up - you deserve it and a little bit of what you fancy does you good.
