We were on our way back from a fabulous trek out with hubs, Shy me and the dogs all knackered, Shy in his trailer. And
there he was. As an ex-Inspector, I always seem to see these things...
A 15.2 hh bay tb type boy, of body score no more than 0.5. His pelvis was literally at right angles, rib cage fully on show, his spine was showing as if dropped by inches. Absolutely awful. I made hubs go and look too, and he came back and just said "call em". In a field in the middle of no-where, but with a headcollar on.
The RSPCA may know all about him (elderly/sick), but there was no way I could pass that poor chap and not say anything. Not seen anything that bad for years tbh. Put a bad taste on a lovely afternoon.
huge *sigh*.
