My sisters horse makes me laugh, when he's excited he lets out little squeal noises. He does it when he's cuddling his mates in the field (no nibbling required!) and today I was finding it really hard not to giggle at him. Took him into the school to lunge a bit and he was feeling really fresh, he really did not want to just walk at all and I could feel that any sort of pressure from me to up the gait (when I did manage get him to walk ) was going to result in trotting/ cantering like a nutcase! When he was in trot he was going round with his tail up and ears pinned forward and letting out mini happy squeals of delight  Barmy? I think so! I thought cobs were supposed to be sensible plods too :p Think the lunging will continue till he's not being a dafty before my sister gets back on ha ha! :D

Do you find yourself having to actively concentrate on not p***ing yourself laughing at yours too? I had to keep reminding myself that I was supposed to be working him and not giggling at his antics :D

Mine squeals all the time, its usually a warning he's about to explode and I'm about to make a swift exit out the side door.

Ah it's great! Mine, when very excited, will squeal or make a deep noise that sounds a bit like oooo! or she will grunt, and off we go in canter somewhere :rolleyes: makes me laugh so much! Oh and this is usually ridden!

Yeah, must be a cob thing - my one does it when he is excited often accompanied by a small buck!! Usually happens when he sees a jump - he really loves to jump!!
