My two old girls arrived as puppies one 14 years ago and the other 15 years ago. They've since been inseparable and done everything together. We've had years of joy with them and now they've broken our hearts when they both needed to leave us together. We're hoping they're young and fit and happy waiting for us at Rainbow Bridge.

How sad

Oh sweetie am in tears for you. It is heartbreaking to lose one but to lose them both...I can't imagine. Hugs to you and I am sure your girls are watching over you.

I'm so sorry for you, be happy in the knowledge they had the best life with each other and with you!!!

You're all so kind. The consolation is that their illnesses were brief and that we were able to lay them to rest together - just as they always have been. Our hearts are ripped into tiny pieces, though our younger ones are a comfort to us tonight

Oh hugs indeed.

That must have been incredibly hard. As said, I am sure they will thank you for letting them go together.

I can't begin to imagine how painful that must have been but how wonderful that they are keeping each other company on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge whilst they wait for you. I dread the day I have to make this call with my darling girl and my thought are very much with you. Big hugs from a Newbie xxxx

I am so very, very sorry to read this. Having lost my old girl earlier this year I know the pain and sadness you must be going through

My thoughts are with you. xxx

Thanks for the ((hugs)) - they've been so needed. We've had a very difficult day - coming down to an empty house was so hard this morning - my OH was in floods (tho he won't thank me for saying so) The youngsters (2 labs and a springer) are very quiet which is so out of character - think they're missing the girls too.

xxxx

Morning hugs for you Lliedi - I'm sitting here with my darling girl beside me, so grateful that she is here. It's easy to say that you'll all get over it but I know it's not that simple. The other dogs will certainly be missing the girls but will adjust very soon - my guess is, rather quicker than you will. Don't be ashamed of tears - I cried when I read your post!

Will be thinking of you lots today
