I really dont think it is funny at all

I think it is very sad to think of an animal being called braindead on its passport - it is a more appropriate name for its owner.

Poor little thing - if thats how they are going to refer to it why on earth was it bred?

I laughed too and hated myself while I was doing it! I have to agree, it speaks volumes about the way they think of the poor little creature. It makes me want to cuddle him, take him off them and smack their noses with a rolled up newspaper!

I did say I HAD to laugh as in I didn't want to... I agree I wanted to take the poor thing in but the initial reponse has to be one of humour.... I thought they were just describing it but to have it on the passport is a little extreme! I do think though that alot of these horses are bred without consideration and therefore when it comes to passports it is whatever name the owner has on his/her brain at the time!

I've got a mare here for covering whose registered name is "Has She Bucked Yet" (TB) And yes, I gather she DOES buck! But talk about giving a horse a bad name!!

I HAVE got a youngster here whose stable name is Thicko (he was born with Neo-natal Maladjustment Syndrome and spent the first week of his life trying to die of stupidity!) but he DOES have a nice name for his passport!

Then the foal bred out of a mare called "Madonna"....
Owner wanted to carry the theme on so named offspring "Like a Virgin" Fantastic until the first time she entered a ring to hear the announcement "And next in is "X" riding Like a Virgin" !!!!!!!!!
Seriously tho' I feel truly sorry for the poor boy, it just shows lack of respect. Actually made me feel quite cross, and I'm usually not at all sentimental over this type of thing.
