Ok I may sound a little dumb but I have never done dressage before in my life and I am about to start.

Ive been looking through the tests and they all seem fairly straight forward (well the prelim ones do anyway) but im a little confused about half circles.

Starting on the left rein can anyoneone please draw me a diagram of this:

BX - Half circle left 10 meters
XE - Half circle right 10 meters

Its off the prelim 4 test if that helps.

Im not actually doing prelim 4, im doing 7 & 10 but there are half circles in 10 aswell, aarrrggghhh. I dont have a clue where i am supposed to return to the track!

Thanks

Just imagine riding an S on its side from B to E.
Just remember to give yourself a stride or two straight over X to re-balance the horse and change the bend.

So it kind of goes B,G, X then X, D, E? Or do would that be too big?

Or is it more like B, I, X then X, L, E which would mean the S shape goes the other way?

Imagine you are doing a 10 metre circle at B, then when you hit X change the rein and do a ten metre circle from X, going striaght when you hit the track. Its just a way of changing the rein.
