hey all, just looking for a couple tips really, twig has discovered she has this HUGE round and very impressive trot and to all intents and purposes it is - a recent instructor commented on how she would show most warmbloods trot up! However, with this new found joy of propelling herself forward with her back and springing off the ground my half halts leave a little to be desired! Tonight i had to half halt to the point of being slightly rough to get her back to do a smaller circle or a transition to walk. Shes only 4 so yes her teeth are still a bit funny and not all the baby ones are out yet so im not really wanting to put a flash on or anything just yet (she does open her mouth) but i was wondering if anyone had any other tactics for transitions and smaller turns? i know a lot of it is down to balance, she is very 'leggy' and gangly being a full tb hence the name twiggy! i think balance is going to take us quite a while
