Half Neck Turnouts???

Has anyone tried these??
Only because my boy has a touch of sweet itch and as a result has rubbed half his mane away over the summer.
I'm now looking into some new rugs for the winter and combo's seem to rub so I was wondering if these are a better alternative???
Or do hoods work? Perhaps the headless ones? With a combo over the top?

I had a lovely one with a matching indoor years ago. Didn't rub my mares mane at all. I wish they did them more freely now, but I've only ever found my funnel under rug as a half neck in the mammoths size. They're brilliant rugs

I've used to have a couple of Wugs & absolutlely loved them. I did sell them on this year as was downsizing my turnout rug selection & they became surplus to requirements! Didn't have any probs with mane rubbing.

I only use half necks as I've never known one rub either mane or withers. It's a pity more manufacturers don't make them though!

I have used half necks,not had any rubbing problems.Will depend on horse and fit of course.

I have a Shires Typhoon half neck which fits really well, and doesn't rub at all. Comes in elephant sizes too Budley95

Premier Equine have bought out half neck turn outs this year They're called a 'Buster Hardy'

They are LOVELY! Alf has the bronze one which is a lovely colour, as wel as being a nice fitting rug! Just got mine back for the cleaners, and it looks like a new rug!

Ive got an allpro 200g one that i got last year for my tb. Its not a great fit on him but fitted the welsh d that i had lovely. Just use it as a spare at the mo.
