Hi Guys,

Hope you can help me out here and not laugh at me being a thicko!!!

I bought a half pad for my boy the other day to wear with a plain cotton square or numnah as when he sweats in the half lined pads the sheepskin gets pretty yack and washing them is a pain as they take so long to dry!

Anyway, do you attach both to the saddle or just that half pad? Also where do you attach each one? I went for girth straps on both!

I tried attaching both the other day and the cotton pad ended up squishing the half pad at the front and looked a bit bunched under the saddle so I didn't use it as it looked uncomfortable. Also the plain pads I have do not have velcro adjustable attachments, would that make a diff?

Anyway, thanks for any help. :-)

surely half the point of the sheepskin pad is to soak up the sweat and let the skin breathe? If you stick another cloth underneath that defeats it?

And yes I know a lot of people do this, that doesn't make it right ;)

A lot of people use the sheepskin for extra padding rather than for the sheepskin itself.

I would either loop them both through the first girth strap, just fiddle about until you get them to lie flat, or I will just loop one through, either the saddlecloth or the half pad then cut the tapes off the other but only if I know it won't slip, some fit really well.
