Halloween help needed

I have been invited out on a fancy dress Halloween hack next Saturday morning which will be a lot of fun. The people who have invited me are great. My problem is the costume. I can't sew to save my life so would be eternally grateful if one of you ever resourceful people could either give me some very simple ideas or tell me where I could buy something like a witches hat hat to go over my riding hat. The horse I ride is a bit spooky so flapping things are not really an option. I did think of getting one of those vampire cloaks from Tescos but don't really want to fly!

Black long sleeve top, black jods/leggings and white acrylic paint to do something like this (without the skull, although you could get some facepaints and do that too).

Stripey tights/leggings to go over jods etc. Tutu in witchy colours over the top and a halloween fascinator (most small gauge head bands will go over a riding hat or you could stick elastic to the hat to string it under your chin (all from claires accessories or asda)
