Its a decent size, Hambledon is all very compact so it's easy to keep an eye on the number of horses at the start. I seem to remember there being 2 jumps in the warm up and plenty of room for a gallop

XC warmup is next to the start

Its such a compact site its behind the lorries, start and finish are together.
One fence if i remember rightly, just a nice brush type fence.

Thanks - Just that Spidey needs a good warm up XC, jumping the fence a good few times and would be handy if there was more then one fence!! Usually is BE isnt there

Yes I thought it was a log because I remember practicing it on an angle

Damn! I bloody log!! I hate that!!

Once she has done around 5-7 jumps over a XC fence she is fine she flies!! But needs a gd warm up, mind you at the BE events she has the SJing etc to warm up over!!

Merry is the same. Jumps like an absolute clown until brain is in gear!

What section are you in at Hambledon?

I am in PN-D and N-I, will be the one at the bottom after the dressage.

Im in PN sec E and F.

Spiders is so babyish round the 1st 1/4 of the course! Then brain is in gear and she is fine! Which is what I have found at local HT's lately.

But must admit she was better at grt witch and Poplar where she had the dressage and SJ warm up 1st, need to wear her out a bit I think!

I think i'm PN C having swapped from the novice, still a bit broken so thinking my 1 legged attempt is probably safer round smaller fences!!! Watched my video of PN there 2 years ago today to work out what we need to improve on!!!

Its one of my favourite events!

Bee did the PC Open last year, over a mix of PN, Nov and some Intermed fences. It was lovely, up to height with a good variety of fences, the week after the BE event. All the bluebells in the woods were out, very pretty! 2 waters, course mostly through the woods.
