Hi All,

I am looking at moving further south in the next 6 months as the cost of living seems considerably less than where I am based in Surrey. Having only kept horses in Surrey and Devon (when I was at uni) I was wondering what I should expect to pay for Full, Part, DIY and Grass livery in Hampshire.

In particular we are looking to move to Liphook, Liss or Petersfield so if anyone near to these places could give me an idea of the local prices that would be great.

Thanks

Average DIY is about £25 a week, without facilities. Expect to pay a bit more if facilities are good.
To get grass livery is like winning the lottery, its not likely to happen!!!

Good grass livery round here is few and faw between especially with facilities.

The cheapest DIY is about £25 ranging up to £40 per week for stable, grazing and then obviously the more expencive the more facilites.
Part livery is normally from about £65 per week and full livery from £90/100 per week.

Its an expensive county for horses

Thanks for the replies guys! Looks like my plans to keep the future horsey out all year round may be slightly flawed though thankfully it doesn't look like the livery prices are any more than they are in Surrey.

Can any of you suggest good DIY/Part Livery yards within those areas as as sad as it may seem I'm probably inclined to work the house hunt around where there's good facilities for horses.

Thanks again!

If you look on the NFED website they have a lot of yards with spaces available in the South area. Im in southampton myself so i dont really know many yards in the area you are looking
