2men in red nissan micra - white in their 30s one male heavily tatooed have been raiding yards. They are scouting out yards, and smashing windows of cars to steal handbags etc. My friend had her car smashed and bag taken from Newtown while she was down the field turning out her horse. These 2men were also seen scouting around my own yard in newtown on thursday evening - when approached by myself and others on the yard they asked for directions pretending they were lost.
Please be aware and do not leave valuables in your car. Around 6yards have now been hit.

I know and it's scary because these 2men were very threatening looking and i'm often the only one on the yard - wouldn't want to come face to face with them when its just me!

We had a bit of a brush with horse thieves a few years back. Mum and I drove to Grandad's yard and on the way we were nearly run off the road by 2 men in an old landy - got to the yard to find tack room had been emptied. They had tried to steal the trailer but as Dad had wheel locks on all 4 wheels they had just succeeded in churning up a massive patch of grass - couldn't see my sisters pony anywhere and was about to start panicking when we hear a load of snorting from the trailer. They had loaded Bobby into the trailer and then just left him there when they found they couldn't nick it lol!! Looking back I can laugh at the sheer balls of it!!!

They nicked a friend of mine's bag out of her car (about 4 weeks ago) at our yard (near Warsash) at about 11:30 am and had cleared a grand out of her various accounts by 12 using banks in Fareham. The police have caught some suspects and I think they were in court last week. Pin numbers were disguised as phone nos in her diary..... Didn't take much for them to work out which ones were the pins!
