Hamster like pouches !

My horse normally comes in at lunch time due to lack of grazing but yesterday got forgotten and did not come in until early evening with swollen hot cheeks is this down to no grazing and having head down constantly trying to find grass .
Opinions please.

Sounds like his grass glands. We had a mare who's grass glands came up frequently, even on short grass. Shouldn't cause any problems.

yep! grass glands... there is some coming through so some sensitive beasts will be getting them now...

Yep mine gets this, just changed paddocks and I thought the new one had v little grass in but he's come in with 'fat face' as I call it. He gets it quite frequently when the grass is changing.

Mine has come in like this the last 2 days, does this every year when the grass starts to grow. Its like a little sign that spring is coming!

Normally gone within half an hour/hour of being off the field.
